  • A Custom Peel is a personalized chemical peel treatment tailored to your unique skin type, concerns, and goals. At Jiva Skin Clinic, we select the right blend of acids and active ingredients such as glycolic, lactic, salicylic, or mandelic acid to safely exfoliate the skin, improve texture, and promote cell turnover. Whether you're targeting acne, pigmentation, fine lines, or dullness, this treatment is customized for the best possible results with minimal irritation.

  • Custom peels offer targeted, effective solutions for a variety of skin concerns. Benefits include smoother texture, reduced breakouts, brighter complexion, minimized pores, and improved tone and elasticity. With regular treatments, custom peels help maintain healthy, glowing skin and support long term skin health. Because each peel is tailored to your skin, it’s a great option for both first-time and experienced clients.

  • Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro injuries in the skin. This stimulates your body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production to improve skin texture, tone, and firmness. At Jiva Skin Clinic in Indian Trail, NC, we use professional grade devices to ensure safe, effective, and precise results tailored to your skin needs.

  • Microneedling helps reduce the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and overall skin dullness. It improves skin texture and promotes a smoother, firmer, and more radiant complexion over time. The treatment is safe for most skin types and can be enhanced with serums, growth factors, or stem cells.

    • Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, acids, and active skincare (like vitamin C or AHAs/BHAs) for 3–5 days before treatment.

    • No sun exposure or tanning for at least 72 hours before your appointment.

    • Do not wax, thread, or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for one week prior.

    • Stop using any acne medications (like Accutane) for 6+ months before treatment.

    • Come with clean skin, no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen on the area being treated.

    • We highly recommend booking a consultation before your first microneedling treatment to ensure it’s the right fit for your skin and goals.

FAQs

    • Microneedling: Usually 3–6 sessions, depending on your skin goals and concerns.

  • Downtime is minimal with both treatments. You may experience some redness and a tight, sunburn-like feeling for 24–48 hours. Most clients resume normal activities the next day, especially with proper aftercare.

  • Discomfort is minimal. We apply a topical lidocaine numbing cream before the procedure to ensure your comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure or a mild tingling, rather than pain.
